1973
Patrick McAlear becomes 2nd generation President & Marilyn McAlear becomes CFO at SSC. Clarence becomes Chairman of the Board for SSC.
1974
Patrick expands SSC product offerings to include a variety of parts so that customers can have one-stop shopping.
1985
SSC moves to 45,000 sq. ft. building in Millbury, OH.
1987
Service Spring Corporation purchases Clean Rite Corp, now known as Draincables Direct.
1997
SSC digitizes the Torsion Spring Rate Book, launching engineering software available to customers.
2001
Coated Torsion Springs are introduced.
2005
Mike McAlear becomes CEO.
2009
Mike opens a second manufacturing location in Visalia, CA, through the 08/09 great recession.
2010
Service Spring launches Solutions Mobile.

Service Spring suffers damage as a result of an EF4 tornado. Within two days, SSC resumes production and continues their commitment to unequaled service.
2012
SSC moves corporate offices to Maumee, OH.

Mike moves SSC to a 112,000 sq. ft. facility in Monclova, OH. DCD remains in Millbury.
2013
Service Spring launches Solutions Education, a program dedicated to educating the overhead door industry.
2015
The McAlear Group is formed, uniting SSC, DCD & IMM.

The McAlear Group launches the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

Draincables Direct opens a location in Long Island, NY.
2016
Mike McAlear is awarded the IDA Humanitarian of the Year award.

Draincables Direct opens a location in Dallas, TX and creates several truck routes across the US with branded cargo vans.

SSC and DCD open a joint distribution center in Orlando, FL.
2017
Matt McAlear becomes CEO of The McAlear Group.

The McAlear Group provides hurricane relief to those affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, TX.
2018
DCD launches its own machine line known as the VALOR® Series.

Monclova plant expands office space 6,000 sq. ft.

Quarterly company bonus profit sharing starts.

SSC opens 2nd and 3rd service centers in Detroit, MI & Chicago, IL.
2019
SSC opens a 4th service center in Dallas, TX.

SSC establishes “milk-run” deliveries from service center locations as a value-added service to dealers.
2020
SSC opens 5th service center location in Phoenix, AZ

SSC starts powder coating springs in-house.

DCD rolls out the VALOR® Extreme machine.
2021
Monclova plant doubles its square footage with a 150,000 sq. ft. expansion that includes more parking, additional break rooms and a gym.

SSC opens its 6th service center in Baltimore, MD.
2022
SSC opens its 7th service center in Indianapolis, IN.
2023
DCD rolls out the Vortex Mini to the drain industry.

Invicta Door Company is founded by Matt McAlear and becomes the 4th division of TMG.

Invicta Door starts by selling residential and commercial sectional pan and polystyrene doors.

SSC Monclova plant expands another 70,000 sq. ft.
