Started in 1962, SSC was the first company holding within the McAlear Group. It is the premier manufacturer of garage door springs and distributor of replacement parts in the overhead door industry. Yearly, SSC serves overhead door dealer and distributors world-wide. The corporate office and primary manufacturing plant is located in Maumee, Ohio—a suburb of Toledo, Ohio. Additional manufacturing takes place in Visalia, California. SSC also manages a distribution and fulfillment location in 6 (AZ, FL, IL, MD, MI, and TX) different states across the US.
Draincables Direct was acquired in 1988 by The McAlear Group. Since then, it has become an industry leader in drain cables as well as a full line distributor for today’s most popular drain cleaning and plumbing brands including: General and Electric Eel. In October of 2015, Draincables Direct purchased Erickson Drain Cleaning Company and continues to uphold the company’s strict quality assurance. The corporate office is located in Maumee, Ohio, and the production plant is located in Millbury, Ohio. Additionally, distribution and pickup shops are located in Long Island, NY Dallas, TX, Orlando, FL, St. Louis MO, Indianapolis, IN, Cleveland, OH, and Detroit, MI.

Offering fixtures and molds, CNC mill and lathe machining, machine design and build, machining and CAD designs, welding fabrication and prototype work, IMM is the go-to for unequaled quality and speed in machine manufacturing. IMM is family owned and operated with a fully equipped 15,000 sq. ft. shop located in Monclova, OH.
